Primary Role :

Enhance Contract Administration Rebate/Chargeback business processes through advance expertise and analytics, providing functional leaders with accurate, timely, actionable data trends and financial risk. Handle questions from IT, Sales Field, Suppliers, Category Management and large business process outsource provider for rebate/chargeback related concerns. Leads implementation, data mining/analysis and innovation of system processes responsible for McKesson Chargeback/Rebates processes. Responsible for monthly reserves recommendations, adjustments, and forecasting to archive financial targets. Critical resource to drive industry standards adoption and consult business partners of future course of actions.

Key Responsibilities:

Rebate/Chargeback Effectiveness

  • Own development and execution of Rebate/Chargeback reconciliation tool

  • Data/financial trend analysis

  • Defect resolution for system and trading partners

  • Assists in relationship management activities of a large business process outsource provider including financial, compliance and operational oversight

  • Industry standards governance

  • Support and generate quality assurance metrics and benchmarks

  • Trainer and Continuous business support of the off shore team

  • Create critical operational reporting tools for supplier segments

  • Ensure that defects are reviewed by necessary business units and team members

  • Assist operations with requirement, defect clarification, and application questions

  • Review adequacy of validation, processing, and balancing of controls in various applications and systems

  • Change processes to correct or eliminate errors and reduce costs at the root cause based on analysis of data relevant to the current process

  • Participate in departmental process improvement teams and play key role on cross-functional teams

  • Training, Coaching and business process support for the off shore Team

  • Perform routine departmental quality assurance testing, to include sampling of completed work by the various functional teams. Communicate results to management in professional and organized manner.

  • Apply Six Sigma theory to various elements of the business to ensure quality standards.

  • Assertively seek solutions at the root level of problem.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in all rebate/chargeback processing for the large business process outsource provider


  • Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.

  • Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc. as pertaining to Contract Administration.

  • Perform research and studies in the areas of Contract Administration and industry performance/benchmarks.

  • Track performance of large business process outsource provider

  • Extract data from McKesson systems with ad-hoc or routine reporting for use in providing meaningful information to the department. Purpose of reporting would be to measure, analyze and improve current processes and financial results.

  • Develop analytical applications to enable end-users access to analyze data stored in data warehouses.

  • Perform monthly processes to bring visibility to rebate/chargeback, credit/rebills, and add bills adjustments to the Sales Force. Distributing and fielding questions from Accounting, FP&A, Compensation, Sales Effectiveness and Sales Leadership.

  • Identify areas of risk, evaluate controls, and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Prepare and perform assessment tests and evaluate results.

  • Evaluate observations and prepare applicable reporting documents.

System Configuration

  • Responsible setting up all components for suppliers and trading partners that transact with the Rebates system (Rebate Recon).

  • Frequent review for compliance and ensure all aspects are according to supplier agreement

  • Recommendations on changes that would generated financial gain for McKesson

  • Manage IT intersections (requirements gathering, writing test scripts, UAT testing, post go-live support)

Minimum Requirements

Entry level experience in data related fields

Critical Skills

  • Minimum 2 years business experience in contract administration, financial accounting in AR, GL, or AP, including data analysis, process improvement, and project management experience.

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of ETL tools and MS Office products to include Excel and Access.

  • Visual Basic SQL coding experience or similar programming experience.

  • Preferred Six Sigma process improvement experience (Greenbelt/Black belt training).


Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, statistics, information systems or combination of education and experience or related skills
