JOB SUMMARY:Reports to a project manager, site supervisor, or lead building technician. Guidance procedures are well defined, work instructions are specific and level of supervision is close and immediate. Assists other technicianswith completion of facilities service work requests as they are received. Performs duties at the basic or entry level with little independent responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants. Requests may include plumbing, lightHVAC, lighting roofing and electrical service calls.
Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, modifications and general facility maintenance tasks in the areas of painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, carpentry, etc.
Assists higher level Technicians as directed.
Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment.
Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests.
Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately.
Takes readings from nominal equipment and makes timely entry into appropriate logs.
Works on and completes all facility team-based goals.

General work experience related to people, machinery etc.
Stable work history showing responsibility and professional growth.
JOB SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
High School degree or GED
Good math, verbal, written skills
Good interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to lift 80 pounds in the work environment and carry it 50 yards.
May be exposed to wet slippery floors, objects on floor and various chemicals and sharp objects.
Works on carpeted, concrete, wood, tile and/or vinyl floors or combination within the confines of a commercialbuilding.
Works mainly indoors but can be exposed to temperature extremes and other weather conditions when working outdoors.
