Aegion Corporation Sr Corrosion Specialist in Midland, Texas


Corrpro is looking for an experienced Sr Corrosion Specialist for our Midland, TX Office.

Under general supervision of the District Engineering Manager and Operations Manager, responsible for planning and scheduling all aspects of assigned projects. Supports sales team to identify clients and opportunities for market share growth. Oversee assigned project to successful completion, including final reporting. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action and/or decision regarding project completion. Supervise engineers and technicians assigned to the projects. Responsible for completing assigned project within budget.


  • Act as direct interface with customer on assigned projects or customer accounts.

  • Support sales by identifying new customers and projects.

  • Support Engineering, Construction and Pipeline product lines as needed.

  • Schedule and coordinate multiple engineering projects to successful completion.

  • Analyze material and structure layout to conceive most appropriate design.

  • Prepare specifications for material and execution.

  • Estimate cost to furnish and install materials.

  • Reduce raw field data to tables and/or charts.

  • Create customer survey reports.

  • Measure, record, analyze, and evaluate field data.

  • Supervise and perform all types of surveys.

  • Diagnose and remedy any system malfunctions.

  • Make modifications to design as needed.

  • Apply comprehensive engineering principles and corrosion theory to prepare supporting mathematical calculations and conceptual design plan.

  • Complete monthly customer invoices for submittal to district engineering manager.

  • Review final client report.

  • Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control.

  • Ensure proper application of methods and procedures, modify as appropriate.

  • Assist in training entry-level technical staff. Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal development for assigned projects.

  • Assist efforts to collect overdue accounts.

  • Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers.

  • Represent Corrpro in a professional manner, with a high degree of respect for all existing and potential customers.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • AS or BS degree preferred. NACE certification. Minimum of 8 years professional experience. Strong team and both internal and external customer service skills are a must.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with various electrical equipment including technical experience with motors, controllers, and lighting.

  • Must possess the ability to perform manual labor - specifically, modify, repair and install electrical equipment.

  • Ability to read and modify schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Possess a good work ethic - punctuality, capable of following directions and working well with other employees.
